Face--Men & Women
Hot tips from Nicole: Hi! I'm RomanticFlair.com's romance advisor. I always had very sensitive skin that was inclined to break out from food allergies. I have used ProActiv Solution with stunning results. Benzoyl peroxide usually takes the skin right off my face, but ProActiv Solution's benzoyl peroxide zaps the acne without the irritation. It's amazing! ProActiv Solution now also has a skincare system for sensitive skin and for particularly difficult acne. Even if you don't have acne per se, ProActiv Solution can clear skin blemishes in about two weeks and keep your skin clear!
If a skincare system is too pricy for you, here is an alternative: Use an apricot scrub with salicylic acid (2%--some are only 1%, so be sure to read the label), which you can buy at Walmart (Equate or St. Ives) or Kmart (Image Essentials) for about $2.80 - $3.80. Neutrogena has a benzoyl peroxide cream (2.5%) called "One The Spot" that is just as effective as ProActiv Solution for about $7.80. I found "On The Spot" at Kmart. Most benzoyl peroxide products are 5% or 10%. I found this is be too strong for my skin. "On The Spot" is the same strength as ProActiv Solution, so it's gentle, but very effective. Cleanse with the apricot scrub and dab on the benzoyl peroxide after cleansing. In two weeks, you're looking good again! Maybe sooner!

Hot tip from Nicole: The best thing you can do for your teeth is to floss and brush after every meal. Flossing is crucial! Considering that you can affect the health of your heart with bad teeth, this is very sound advice. It may call for a resetting of priorities. It will also keep your breath fresher. A plus for romance! There are also teeth-whitening systems at most grocery and pharmacy stores that run anywhere from $7-30.
Hair Care--Men & Women
Hot tip from Nicole: If your scalp is particularly dry, wash your hair everyday, alternating three dandruff shampoos (our recommendation: Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp Care, Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment (With selenium sulfide), and Garnier Fructis Fortifying Anti-Dandruff Formula 2-in-1), and use a conditioner rich in Vitamin B5 (our recommendation: Tresemme Vitamin B5 & Aloe, or if you're gluten intolerant, Tresemme's B1 formula--B5 contains wheat!). Monday: Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp and Tresemme conditioner; Tuesday: Head & Shoulders Intensive
Treatment and Tresemme conditioner; Wednesday: Garner Fructis and Tresemme conditioner, Thursday: Head & Shoulders Dry Scalp and Tresemme conditioner, etc. You might think this would dry your scalp out all the more, but the fact is, this method will actually improve the condition of your scalp! I have this bold advice from a dermatologist. If your scalp improves significantly, you might try washing your hair every other day, instead of every day. If your scalp is annoyingly itchy, you might be gluten-intolerant. This was the case with me, and I found, once I stopped eating gluten, my scalp bothered me a lot less. Watch those heavy fats as well, especially if you are gluten-intolerant. They block blood flow in and around your head, so that your blood is unable to nourish your scalp, leaving it dry and itchy.
Body--Men & Women
(1) Never eat more than one plate. If you feel the urge to do this, you may have a digestive disease (such as Celiac Disease), a blood sugar issue, or you have eaten too much sugar before the meal. Sugar can make
you feel like you want more to eat than you actually need. (2) Never eat more than 12 grams of sugar at once. If you need to eat some chocolate, eat half a bar of 85% dark chocolate with only 5 grams of sugar (Lindt). It's very satisfying, but won't wreak havoc on the blood sugar level of most people. (3) Never eat sweets after 5 p.m. (4) Never pile your plate high. (5) Eat a green salad every day for dinner in the evening, preferably European Spring Mix (dark leafy greens with dandelion). (6) Try not to eat later than 7 p.m., and eat only vegetables or vegetables and brown rice. (7) Never eat at dinnertime in the evening heavy proteins like meat, cheese, beans, lentils, nuts, etc., heavy carbohydrates like pasta, desserts, fruits, or fruit juices, heavy fats, which include anything fried, butter, and heavy creams, sweets of any kind.
(8) Since you're not eating meat for dinner in the evening, you won't need wine to aid digestion. Alcohol may make you feel sleepy at first, but it will wake you up in the night and disturb your sleep cycle. It's an underlying factor in the sleep disorder that characterizes ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). This can be passed on to your children. (9) Reduce the stress in your life! Refuse to allow anything to make you move in a frantic fashion. Peace has a balancing effect on the body. You will find that you will accomplish things just as well by going about your business in a methodical manner. Rearrange your priorities to accomplish a serene bearing. Change what you can, and let go of what you can't change. Don't stew over it. Stewing will affect the way your body functions--and not in a good way.
(10) The best exercises are walking, swimming, and dancing--and they're all fun! (11) Eat something with the East Indian spice "curry" in it at least twice-a-week to facilitate blood circulation and prevent stroke. Curry works on a lot of foods--meat, lentils, vegetables, rice.
